Tend to Your Body & Nervous System
with Therapeutic Yoga
While group classes are great for community and fitness, one-on-one therapeutic sessions provide a deeper, more supportive space. These sessions are a whole-body, individualized approach, integrating yoga postures, breathwork, movement, lifestyle changes, and mindfulness. Stress and physical health are deeply connected, often feeding each other in both directions, and these sessions address that connection directly, tending to the body, supporting mental health, regulating the nervous system, and building resilience.
People aren't a One-Size-Fits-All, your support shouldn't be either.
1. WE START WITH A CONVERSATION
Our first session, the Intake, begins with listening and talking. We'll meet online or, in the Cedar Park studio, for 90 minutes to discuss your areas of focus, health, lifestyle, and goals. With this information we'll create a starting point together. You will walk away with a light movement or breathwork practice until we meet next time.
2. MOVEMENT THAT MEETS YOU WHERE YOU ARE
Each 1 hour session starts with a check in where we talk through what's shifted since we last met. From there, we move into the practice I designed specifically for you. No prior yoga experience is needed, no performance or perfect poses. We work at your pace, addressing your specific concerns, whether that's regulating your nervous system, tending to a physical condition, or both, while building resilience along the way. Sessions can happen weekly, biweekly, or monthly, whatever rhythm supports you. The practice evolves as your needs do.
3. TOOLS YOU CAN TAKE WITH YOU
You'll be encouraged to practice with these tools between sessions so they integrate into your daily life. After each session I'll send you your movement and breathwork practices either in written or video form, along with notes, and reflections from our session, so you can return to them on your own. These practices are designed to equip you with skills you can carry long after our work together.
These sessions are informed by yoga therapy principles and trauma-informed training, addressing both the physical and nervous system sides of what you're experiencing, but they are not a substitute for medical or mental health care. They can be a wonderful, supportive complement alongside work with your doctors or therapists.
